Spend the night at the only narrow-gauge railway carriage hotel in Europe

A 124-year-old “Feistritztalbahn” railway carriage at Anger train station has been rebuilt and now serves as an accommodation for visitors interested in the region and the Feistritztalbahn. It’s the only narrow-gauge railway carriage hotel in Europe and operated by the nearby Hotel Angerer-Hof. It offers three authentic sleeping arrangements typical for narrow-gauge sleeping cars.

The sleeping car also holds some surprising secrets to be discovered (no spoilers!), while the area offers a number of culinary experiences.

Not only is the railway carriage hotel an unforgettable place to stay. The redesign and installation of the old carriage have also revived the abandoned Anger train station.

Make your temporary home in the traditional Landlust houses

Staying in one of these typical Eastern Styrian houses promises relaxation and an authentic taste of the rural life in the region. A Landlust house provides you with an individual holiday experience in a historical building, as well as a cosy home away from home.

A lot of the things in the lovely Landlust houses have been made by hand, and no two houses are the same. There is an emphasis on comfort, as well as reducing the ecological footprint. Guests will also get a chance to taste typical products from the region.
